The traditional drum often belongs to the Divine Service, for example here in Illeret in the area of the Daasanach in the North of Kenya, near the Ethiopian border. Today, Illeret is a parish belonging to the Benedictine Priory of Tigoni, that became independent from its founding abbey Peramiho in 1988.
